Terms of Service

Last updated: October 16, 2026

These terms cover kfluent.com and the PDF e-books sold on it. We keep them short. By using the site or buying a book, you agree to them. If anything is unclear, write to alvin@kfluent.com.

Who we are

kfluent is run by Alvin Lim, an individual and a certified Korean language teacher (Level 2, 한국어교원 2급). Alvin writes the lessons and the books, delivers the books and handles support and refunds.

Payments. Checkout is handled by Polar (Polar Software, Inc.), which acts as the merchant of record: Polar processes your payment, calculates and collects sales tax or VAT, and issues your receipt. Polar's buyer terms also apply to the payment itself.

What you buy

PDF e-books: vocabulary books and workbooks for levels 1–6, in English, Traditional Chinese and Japanese editions. Nothing is shipped; there is no printed edition.

Licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence. You may print the books for your own study, and if you teach, you may print pages for students in classes you personally teach. You may not share, upload or resell the file. Details: Licence & teacher use.

Refunds

Not downloaded yet: full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked. Once you download, the right of withdrawal ends, except for defective files, a wrong edition or a duplicate charge, which we always fix. Details: Refund policy.

Your account

There are no passwords. You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email; a device stays signed in for 30 days. Please keep access to that email address: it is how you reach your books. You can delete your account at any time on the account page; deletion is immediate and permanent. After deletion your books no longer appear in "My books". Copies you have already downloaded stay yours under the licence, and we can restore access if you write to us from the email address on your Polar receipt.

Fair use of the site

Please do not attack the site, abuse the sign-in system, scrape it in bulk or try to access other people's data. We may suspend an account that is used to share or resell books.

Accuracy

The lessons, word lists and books are prepared carefully by a certified teacher, but we cannot promise they are free of errors. If you find one, please tell us and we will fix it in the next edition. We do not guarantee any result in TOPIK or any other exam.

Liability

As far as the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of the country where you live.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer law in the country where you live. The payment transaction itself is governed by Polar's terms.

Changes

If we change these terms, we post the new version on this page with a new date. The terms in force when you bought a book apply to that purchase.
